a lot of + 可数名词复数/不可数名词； not much + 不可数名词； a few + 可数名词复数
a lot of 表示「很多」，可接可数复数，也可接不可数名词。not much 表示「不多」，只用于不可数名词。a few 表示「几个、一些」，用于可数复数。注意疑问句和否定句中常用 much 或 many，但肯定句常用 a lot of。

表达「虽然……但是……」的让步关系，注意英语中 although 不能和 but 连用。
Although + 从句, 主句。或者 主句 + although + 从句。
although 引导一个让步状语从句，表示「尽管」。与汉语不同，英语里 although 所在的句子中不能再用 but，只用其中一个即可。

Our local library will be closed from Monday 10th June to Friday 21st June. This is because we need to repair the roof and replace the heating system. We are sorry for any problems this may cause.
You can still return books using the box outside the library. Also, our online service is available as usual. You can borrow e-books and use computers at the community centre during this time. The community centre is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day.
