Second conditional (if + past, would) – introductionB1+
If I had more time (If I have time, I will go)是真实可能发生的;二类条件(If I had time, I would go)只是想象。

If I were you, I would go to the doctor.
If he did more exercise, he would feel healthier.

✗ If I have more time, I would exercise.✓ If I had more time, I would exercise.
(If I had a bike, I might cycle to work)。
Should / ought to / had better for adviceB1
should / ought to / had better (+不带to的不定式)
注意 ought to 的 to 不能丢;had better 后面接动词原形。

例句

You should eat more vegetables.
You ought to see a doctor about that cough.
You had better not stay up too late before the exam.

✗ You had better to rest.✓ You had better rest.
✗ You ought eat less.✓ You ought to eat less.
ought 必须带 to。
↑ 提分:在议论文中可用 should 提建议,但更高档的写法会用 It is recommended that…

Reading health leaflet

Tips for Staying Healthy
HEALTHY LIVING GUIDE Here are some simple ways to improve your health. Eat well: Try to eat at least five portions of fruit and vegetables every day. Cut down on sugary drinks and fast food. A balanced diet helps your body fight illness. Move more: You don't need to go to the gym. Walking, cycling, or taking the stairs can make a big difference. Aim for 30 minutes of moderate activity most days. Get enough sleep: Most adults need 7–8 hours of sleep each night. Go to bed at the same time and avoid screens before bedtime. Manage stress: Too much stress can cause health problems like headaches and high blood pressure. Take breaks, talk to friends, or try deep breathing exercises. Smoking and alcohol: If you smoke, it's never too late to stop. Drinking too much alcohol can also damage your health. Ask your doctor for help if you need it.

Your friend has been feeling unwell recently. Write a letter to him/her. In your letter: - ask about his/her health - give some advice on how to get better - say what you plan to do to help.
Dear Jack, I was really sorry to hear from your sister that you've been feeling unwell. She said you caught a bad flu and had to take a week off work. That sounds horrible! I hope you're starting to feel a bit better now. I think you've been working too hard and not getting enough sleep. You really need to slow down and take it easy for a while. When your body is fighting an illness, proper rest is the best medicine. Maybe you could try to eat more fruit and vegetables to boost your immune system, and don't forget to drink lots of water. If I were you, I'd go to the doctor just to get checked and make sure everything is fine. Once you're feeling better, you might want to think about starting some gentle exercise, like walking, to stay healthy in the future. But for now, the most important thing is to rest. I'd like to come over on Friday afternoon, if that works for you. I can bring some soup and we can just relax and watch a film. Let me know. Get well soon, and take good care of yourself! Best wishes, James

口语 Speaking

Part 1

Q: Do you think you have a healthy lifestyle?
I try to, but I'm not perfect. I eat quite well and I go to the gym a couple of times a week, but I also spend too much time sitting at my desk, which I know is not great.
Q: What do you do to stay healthy?
I make sure I get enough sleep and I try to manage my stress by doing yoga. I also walk a lot instead of taking the bus whenever I can.
Q: Have you ever been seriously ill?
Once, a few years ago, I had a really bad flu. I had a high fever and had to stay in bed for a week. It was awful, but I recovered fully.

Part 2 ·

Describe a time when you were ill. You should say: when it was, what the illness was, how it affected you, and explain how you recovered.
I'd like to talk about a bad flu I had last winter. I woke up one morning feeling very weak and I had a terrible headache. I took my temperature and it was over 39 degrees, so I knew something was wrong. I felt completely exhausted and couldn't eat anything. I had to cancel all my plans for the week and just rest. I went to the doctor and she said it was flu. She advised me to drink lots of fluids and take paracetamol. She also told me to stay home and rest. I followed her advice, and little by little, I started to feel better. After about ten days, I was back to normal. Now I always get the flu vaccine to protect myself.

Part 3

Q: Why do some people find it hard to stay healthy?
I think it's often because of time and money. Healthy food can be expensive, and many people work long hours so they don't have time to exercise. Also, bad habits like smoking or eating fast food are hard to break.
Q: Should the government do more to encourage healthy living?
Yes, I think so. For example, they could put higher taxes on sugary drinks and fast food, and use that money to make public sports facilities cheaper or even free. That might help more people stay active.

if I were you如果我是你(二类条件,提建议)
